8 simple steps to work with a Yiwu sourcing agent: share your needs, find suppliers, confirm samples, track production, inspect goods, consolidate, load container and arrange shipment.
Working with a Yiwu sourcing agent follows a clear step-by-step workflow, designed to save your time and reduce import risks. Below is our standard cooperation process.
Step 1: Share your sourcing requirements
You send us your product list, including item pictures, specifications, target price, MOQ, packaging demands, logo customization, quantity and required certificates. Tell us your expected delivery schedule and destination country. The more details you provide, the faster we can find suitable suppliers.
Step 2: Market research & supplier selection
Our team searches Yiwu market and nearby factories. We screen verified vendors, compare quotations and check their production capacity. Then we send you shortlisted supplier options, price lists and sample photos/videos for your review.
Step 3: Sample arrangement & confirmation
We arrange samples from selected suppliers. Once you receive and approve the sample, we lock the sealed master sample locally. All bulk goods must match this confirmed sample. Any changes to material, color or design need your written approval before mass production.
Step 4: Order placement & production follow-up
After you confirm the price and terms, we place the order with the supplier on your behalf. We sign a detailed purchase contract to record all specifications. During production, we track progress regularly and update you. We carry out mid-production inspection to catch quality issues early.
Step 5: Pre-shipment quality inspection
When all goods are finished and packed, our QC team conducts final inspection. We check quantity, appearance, size, function, packaging and shipping marks against the sealed sample. We will sort out defective products and require rework before shipment. Inspection photos and videos will be sent to you.
Step 6: Goods consolidation & warehousing
If you buy multiple items from different vendors, all goods will be delivered to our warehouse. We receive, count, check and store them temporarily. After all items are ready, we arrange consolidation for FCL or LCL shipment.
Step 7: Container loading & documentation
We supervise container loading on site and record the whole process. Meanwhile, we prepare all export documents: PI, packing list, commercial invoice and certificates as required. We help arrange booking, customs declaration and sea/air freight.
Step 8: Shipment & after-service
Once the cargo departs, we send you the bill of lading and tracking information. We keep in touch until the goods arrive at your destination. If any quality or packing problems appear, we help you negotiate with suppliers for solutions.
