New Logistics Corridor Energizes Yiwu’s Cross-Border E-Commerce

On June 8, a batch of cross-border e-commerce goods finished all customs formalities at the Yiwu Express (Cross-Border) Supervision Center in Jinhua, Zhejiang Province. The cargo was then dispatched to Shanghai Pudong International Airport for air shipment to Los Angeles, USA.
This land-air intermodal partnership between Zhejiang and Shanghai has launched a brand-new export route, building an inter-provincial logistics channel for Yiwu’s cross-border e-commerce products.
“Previously, it took more than 10 days for our goods to reach buyers in the United States,” said Tu Hongming, person in charge of Yiwu Cu Jia Trade. “Thanks to this Zhejiang-Shanghai land-air express line, deliveries now take merely 3 to 5 days, representing a remarkable leap in logistics efficiency.”
Relevant authorities in Yiwu and Shanghai have rolled out targeted support measures. Focusing on customs transit links, they have introduced paperless clearance and real-time data sharing, ensuring cargo can be arranged for flight promptly after arriving at the airport.
A 24/7 online consultation service is also in place to respond to enterprises’ demands in a timely manner, helping businesses cut operational costs and improve overall efficiency.
